The lightly padded Balanssi overshirt is made of cotton poplin with a relaxed, A-line fit. The reversible shirt features the Uni pattern on one side and a solid dark grey on the other. The overshirt has a pointed collar and the Marimekko label at the back neckline on both sides. It has a snap button closure, a curved hem, and slits and snap buttons at the cuffs. The Uni pattern side of the shirt has side seam pockets. The fabric is printed in Helsinki.

Maija Isola´s artwork encompasses an incredibly diverse range of motifs and design techniques. Uni (dream), designed in 1968, is a layered pattern with a landscape-like feel and captivating details.
